Where are meetings held?

They can be held over Zoom, telephone, at my office or in your home – wherever you are most comfortable.

Do you have parking?

Yes there is free parking available at my office.

Do I have to pay for an initial meeting?

No, the first meeting is complimentary, but please don’t expect to receive any advice at this meeting. Personal recommendations can only come after getting to know you and completing full research and analysis.

What do I need to bring to an initial meeting?

It’s useful to bring along a list of your assets and liabilities, details on your income and expenditure and information on any existing investments and pension plans you have.

How long should I allow for an initial meeting?

1.5 hours.

Do I have to sign up to your services at an initial meeting?

No. You are welcome to take your time to think things over, read my client agreement and come back with any questions.

How can I book an initial meeting?

Are you independent?

Yes. As an independent financial planning firm, I am able to offer the best products available from the whole of the market to help you achieve your financial planning objectives.

Are you regulated?

Can you advise on final salary/defined benefit transfers?

No. You would need to speak to a pension transfer specialist for advice on this.

What happens if my Financial Planner is away on holiday?

I check emails while on holiday and respond to urgent matters. I also delegate urgent tasks to a member of the team.

What do you charge for a financial plan?

I charge a minimum fee of £750 for investment cases and £1,000 for pension cases. This is waived if the plan is implemented and, in this case, our fees are 3% for funds under management (FUM) of under £100k, 2% for between £100k and £250k, and 1% for more than £250k. For large funds, I may be prepared to agree a capped Fixed Fee depending on the amount of work involved.

Do you take a percentage or are your fees fixed?

I take a percentage of the fees we manage on your behalf, but subject to minimum fixed fees. For large funds, I am happy to discuss and agree a Fixed Fee depending on the amount of work involved.

Do you get commission?

Commission is only received on arrangement of protection policies, which is determined by the provider and fully disclosed to you. I will always recommend the best product for you and am not influenced by commission level.

Do you charge VAT?

VAT is only charged when services are provided with no view to financial intermediation i.e. recommending a product.

Will I be sacrificing return if I invest ethically or sustainably?

Investment returns are never guaranteed, and returns are influenced by movements across all the asset classes.
